As a dietary expert, I can tell you that whether or not you can eat Oreos as a vegan depends on the specific ingredients used in the cookies. Traditional Oreos typically contain dairy products, which are not vegan-friendly. However, there are vegan alternatives available on the market, and Oreo has also released a vegan version of their cookies in certain regions. It's important to always check the ingredient list to ensure that the cookies do not contain any animal-derived products like milk, butter, or eggs.

Oreos have made their way onto multiple accidentally vegan food lists, but when Nabisco was asked if Oreos are vegan, they responded by saying, No, Oreos have milk as a cross contact and therefore are not suitable for vegans. ... I do not avoid these products, so that is not why I won't eat an Oreo cookie.
