Greenlandic is an Eskimo-Aleut language spoken by about 60,000 people (in 2007) in Greenland (Kalaallit Nunaat) and Denmark (Danmark / Qallunaat Nunaat). There are three main dialects: West Greenlandic (Kalaallisut), East Greenlandic (Tunumiisut / Tunumiit oraasiat) and North Greenlandic (Avanersuarmiutut).
