As a subject matter expert in comic book lore and superhero abilities, I can provide an analysis of the potential interaction between Superman's strength and Captain America's shield.
Superman, a character from DC Comics, is known for his incredible strength, which is derived from Earth's yellow sun. His power levels are often depicted as near limitless, and he has been shown to be capable of feats such as lifting massive weights, withstanding immense forces, and even moving planets.
Captain America's shield, on the other hand, is a unique item from Marvel Comics. It is made from a vibranium alloy, which grants it incredible durability and the ability to absorb and disperse energy. The shield is nearly indestructible by conventional means and has withstood high-caliber bullets, explosions, and even blasts from Thor's hammer.
Given Superman's strength and the shield's durability, it's a contest of two extremely powerful forces. In theory, if Superman were to exert enough force, he might be able to bend or even break the shield, but this would likely require an extraordinary amount of effort. It's also important to note that the characters' abilities can vary depending on the writer and the specific storyline.
In conclusion, while it's not impossible for Superman to break Captain America's shield, it would be an incredibly difficult feat that would strain even his considerable powers.

Superman is not on that level. In the DC vs Marvel crossover he is shown to be comparably matched with the Hulk in strength level, only just being able to defeat him. Hulk has never been able to break Captain America's shield, it stands to reason Superman wouldn't be able to achieve that feat either.
