As a mythology expert, I can tell you that in Greek mythology, Hercules, also known as Heracles, was a demigod known for his incredible strength and numerous adventures. His death is a story filled with tragedy and heroism. Hercules was eventually killed by a poisoned cloak given to him by his wife Deianeira, who was deceived into believing it would renew his love for her. The poison, which was the blood of the centaur Nessus, caused unbearable pain and a slow, agonizing death. Hercules, in his final moments, had a funeral pyre built and laid upon it, thus ending his life and allowing his soul to ascend to Olympus to join the gods.

The demi-god Hercules withstood many life-threatening events and monsters, but even he eventually died. ... Before he died, the centaur persuaded Deianeira to take some of his blood - which, unbeknownst to her, was tainted with poison - to give her hubby as a love potion if he ever tried to stray.
