Hello, I'm an expert in marine biology. When it comes to sea stars, also known as starfish, they do have a unique feeding mechanism that involves structures that can be likened to teeth, but they are not actual teeth like those found in mammals.
Sea stars have a specialized structure called the stomach, which they can eject out of their mouth to digest food externally. They also have a set of pedicellariae, which are tiny, tooth-like appendages that help to crush and clean their prey. These pedicellariae are not teeth in the traditional sense, but they serve a similar function in terms of processing food.

But SOME starfish DO have teeth! Since most starfish feed using their stomachs, there's no real need for them to bite and chew the same way that say, a dog might. BUT there are some starfish that have a lot of spines located around their mouth that might be important to helping them eat.
